Electricity is Just Like Water

Electricity can feel like a big mystery. But what if I told you it works just like water in a pipe? 💧

I made this animation to show the three big ideas:

  • Voltage is the push — like how hard you press down on the water
  • Current is how much water flows through
  • Resistance is how narrow the pipe is

A wide pipe lets lots of water through. A thin straw? Only a little! That’s exactly what happens with electricity and resistors.
